Raber Update!

I think it's about time I post again. I officially know that our summer is not going to slow down. The kids go to school Aug. 11th and it's almost here. :( This mommy is dreading it. I think it is because the closer it gets the more anxiety I get about it. Hailey is starting Kindergarten and I have anxiety issues anyway, but it is just so hard. If my kids would not be such mommy babies I think it would be easier. I just can't stand it when they cry and don't want to go to school. Jayce did and HOPEFULLY Hailey will not. I was starting to think she will not do too bad, BUT Last week she started crying out of nowhere and I asked what was wrong. She asked how many days till school? I told her and she said I don't want to go I want to stay home with you mom:( OHHH Now I am so nervous. I just hope she will go and love it and it will not be too hard for her. I'd say that's enough rambling about that. Please pray for us if you can.:)

Well after my last post we had went to the fair on Friday night to ride rides. The kids had lot's of fun, they could both ride the big rides, well all except 3 Hailey couldn't ride. But she is a brave girls she was not scared of the big ones. Their favorite was the slide. They went down and down and down I don't know how many times!

We also went to holiday world on Tuesday last week it was such a nice week we thought we'd take off work and go. I guess everyone else thought that because we beat the heat but NOT the crowd! It was very busy. We still had lots of fun. Mya did not go with us. I knew she would not enjoy such a long day. She is quite fussy as you may remember. We love her but she doesn't last too long on days like this. We enjoyed it with our two older ones. We spent almost the WHOLE day in the water park. My kids didn't want to leave there. All but 3 hours. So I didn't get a lot of pics. Then when we were in the other part Jayce and daddy rode roller coasters and other big rides that Hailey was not quite big enough for part of the time. Jayce LOVED his first roller coaster ride. I can't belive he is so grown up!

We went camping over the weekend in Montgomery. It was just wonderful weather until about Sat. around 10:30 I think. Rain, Rain. But we went home and relaxed. Then went to watch fireworks sat. night at Washington. Mya did great. Didn't get too scared! Monday the kids and I went to visit daddy at work. They were at Hank Wittmers in Montgomery. It was beautiful weather again so we just hung out under a shade tree and relaxed for awhile.

Today we are just around the house. I am making fresh green beans, fresh red potatoes, and a roast for dinner tonight. The potatoes are from our garden, it is the first time we planted one. Not big at all. Just some sweet cord, 2 tomato plants and two little rows of red potatoes. YUM!!

My Little Miss and other summer fun

We will start off with my little Miss! Hailey has wanted to be in the fair (Padgent) as she calls it, since last year. So we entered her in the little miss and mister contest at the Elnora Fair. She had sooo much fun:) Saturday was the interview with the judges. They had to wear White T-shirts, denim shorts, socks and shoes. They met with and the judges asked them questions individually. She said they asked her what she wants to do when she gets big and she said a hairstyler! Cute! Their were 10 cute little girls, poor judges! Hailey wanted to pose for me after the interview!


I'm glad we let her do this i think it really helped her be a lot more brave. She is a little shy but she did wonderful in everything. They got to sit on a trailer for the parade on Sunday afternoon. Poor girls it was HOT! But they loved it:) hailey's in the sunglasses waving.


Last night was the contest. The judges already knew who won they just got to get all dressed up and stand on stage. I can't believe she did so good. They said a little about each child that we had wrote down. Their favorite things to do and Hailey had gymnastics, swimming, singing and playing softball! They asked her what her favorite song was and then if she would sing a little bit of it! OH MY!! She did WONDERFUL! She picked out Jesus Loves Me! She was so nervous she messed with her hair the whole time and skipped a few words but she sang right into the mic and you could understand her. Way to go Hailey! Gabriel won she was a little doll just like all the others:) Hailey said she loved getting all dressed up she felt like a princess! Of course she had to wear her blue dress she wouldn't even think of any other. Her favorite color.

We have been having lots of fun with our little pool we set up. The kids also have a slip n slide. Here is a pic of Jayce slidind down FAST!

Mya loves her baths but for some reason she wants nothing to do with water outside! HMM! We have tried the big pool her baby pool I even tried a little tub the other day no way she just cried and wanted out. I got a quick pic from right when we put her in.

Hailey decided to get in and see if that helped. No Way! Oh well maybe next year.

Bible School Program

We had our bible school program sunday night. It was a program and a picnic with yummy SNOWCONES! It was beautiful to see all the children singing and raising thier hands to the Lord:) I helped with the Kindergarten 1 class. Joanna did a wonderful job as the teacher. I had so much fun. The kids in the class were all so sweet and did wonderful!

Bible school turned out wonderful again this year. Thanks to all those who worked so hard on putting it together.

Summer Fun, Yard sale, Firetruck, & Bible School

Well I'm sorry I keep thinking I am going to better about blogging but it's just too busy around here I guess. I am very pleased with how my yard sale turned out. It took a lot of time the week before getting ready, but I did very well and got rid of a lot. I do have some left but it will hopefully sell at the next one I have:) I am thankful that mom and dad let me have it there. I think it was probbably a better turn out than I would have had out here. Here is a picture of my two older sweeties selling cookies and pop! It only lasted about 2 hrs. which I guess that was pretty good. Then mom and I were selling it. The cookies went fast, we didn't have enough!

Like I said it lasted about 2 hrs. Then Jayce my outdoorsman got very bored and was BEGGING and BEGGING to go fishing, and OF COURSE my dad takes him for a little while.

My two girls were riding their toys out at Mammaw Raber's one day, too cute I thought. Hailey was stopping to help her little sis:)

Hailey's softball season is over:( I love watching the kids play. The teams got to ride the firetruck after their games Sat. I think they all enjoyed it.

We have bible school this week at Bethel. So far I think it is going wonderful:) There are LOTS of kids. I pray that these kids will become a little closer in their walk with God this week. My kids are really having fun, I only have a pic of Hailey so far. I'll leave you with just one and post more on it later. Hailey has made some new friends.

Huge Yard Sale!

I have been busy, busy this week, trying to work on my things for the yard sale. It is sooo much stuff. I did not sell any of Jayce or Hailey's things, so I would have what I needed when I would have the next child. Hmm! Now I am selling everything that Mya has grown out of and all of Jayces things. Lot's and Lot's of clothes. I am also selling the walker, infant seat, bouncer, johnny jump-up ( the thing you hang in the doorway) the swing, boppy, stroller, kick-n-play etc. Along with Tons of shoes for girls and boys from newborn to kid sizes. Womens clothes and oh yeah all my maternity clothes. The yard sale will be at my parents house in oakview heights. If you need directions email me at srraber@live.com. Hope to see some of you there.

Last week Hailey wanted to get all dressed up and take pics. Jayce was in school but we TRIED to get some of my two princesses. Ha! Mya does not hold still.

We went camping over the weekend. Fun!! The weather was beautiful. Friday night Mark, Shawna and their two girls came to visit. Here is Alison, Hailey, and Jayce playing school in the camper.

Sunday was Hailey's preschool program/graduation. I am sooo nervous about her going to kindergarten next year:(

After I was finished working the carnival, I got to pick Jayce up early at school. They could go home early if they wanted. Daddy happened to get off work early so Jayce, Todd and John went fishing! His favorite! He's his daddy made over. He could fish or hunt anytime.

Today Hailey's preschool class went putt-putting in washington. We had lot's of fun, even though it was pretty humid. Hailey's favorite thing is miniature golf. So she was excited.

Softball is going great! Hailey loves it now. If you remember she cried a little the first game. And the second at the start but after that she's been having fun!! I love to watch the kids play. It is sooo relaxing. Jayce hasn't started his games yet, but he had his first practice Monday night. So of course here are some pics of my sweeties.

Of course Mya is energetic lately, very very energetic, runs everywhere nonstop. Hard to get a picture of her too. I'll try to do better. We went to the camper after Hailey's game Friday night. We really enjoy that. Sat. night we went to My cousins house to celebrate my grandma's birthday. She's 81 love her so much. While Hailey had preschool program rehersal last night we went to visit her for awhile. She is living with my parents now. today I will hopefully get some things done. Laundry, cleaning tub and showers, the usual dishes, cooking, and taking care of a very clingy Mya:) and starting to get ready for yard sale. HMM! Usually don't get to the yard sale stuff. Gonna have to sometime!
